Bharti Airtel with the highest subscriber additions, 2.01 million, in the month of May 2012 has now a total user base of 185.30 million. Whereas 1.2 million subscribers chose Vodafone, which has now a total user base of 152.84 million. Airtel and Vodafone was followed by Idea and Aircel, which reported an addition of 1.75 million and 8 lakh subscribers respectively.
With a net addition of 7.27 million GSM subscribers in the month of May 2012, the total GSM subscriber base of India has now grown to 677.85 million.
